What You’ll Find On This Journey

What you’ll find here is an adventure of poetry, stories, personal thoughts, essays, inspirational articles, and quotes to entertain and enrich your journey through life and love.  Sometimes the journey will be light and easy; sometimes heavy and tumultuous. Wherever the next step (the next article) leads you it’s sure to help you think about your inner self and relationships, and your environment and the world in which you’re traveling through.

In the drop-down Category Search you’ll find a list to choose from. Each of my posts will have at least one, if not more, of those categories making it easier for you to find the type of writing you’re looking for. Categories include, but are not limited to:

My Writer’s Journal: There are times when I write pieces about my writing journey, situations that occur, meetings or groups I’ve attended, my daily schedule, rebuilding my site and my feelings regarding this entire process. I’ve decided to add the category “My Writer’s Journal” for you to quickly find out what I’m thinking and doing behind-the-scenes.

Prose: Prose is considered a form of creative writing. It can be in the form of essays or articles, or flash fiction. It’s non-rhyming and devoid of stanzas. There may or may not be dialogue. I find myself sometimes writing small pieces, flash fiction pieces, and often wonder where to put them on my site – or what to call it. So, I’ve created this category to post such writings.

Tidbit Quotes: We’ve all had thoughts, a single solitary thought, and some were quite … well … thought-provoking. The category I’m calling “Tidbit Quotes” will consist of single thoughts. I’ll share the tidbit and then explain how the thought came about, where the thought is going, or leave it up to you to comment and share where the thought traveled to for you. I will also post quotes by other individuals, always giving them the proper credit.

Flash Fiction: Stories that are 1,000 words or less are considered to be flash fiction. Many times I set out to write a piece with fewer words and they end up as short stories (stories between 1,000 and 10,000 words). I know some authors publish short stories on their sites, though I wonder if it’d be too much to read at any given time. So, I’ll save my short stories and publish shorter stories – flash fiction – here for you to read and comment on.

Book Reviews: I’m an avid reader and have signed up on http://readingdeals.com and http://sweetfreebooks.com. As if that offer me enough choices, I also use the Kindle Free Books app found at http://www.amazon.com/Zero-Friction-Books-Kindle-Fire/dp/B00EGY1WN0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1443398006&sr=8-4&keywords=free+kindle+fire+book+app. I have about 69 reviews under “PoetrynMore.” Don’t worry, I won’t post them all here :-). Books from Reading Deals and Sweet Free Books aren’t given free for a review, though my review is my honest opinion. I am a member of Reading Deals Review Club, whose books are given free in exchange for a review, an honest review. Here on my site I will post my reviews of books that I really enjoyed, so you will see mostly four and five star reviews. If you’d like to see books that I didn’t find as enjoyable, for whatever reason, you can find them on my Amazon Profile Page https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A1OE6DOFZTYKPF?preview=true. My reviews are more on the technical (grammatical/editorial) side versus delving into the storyline, providing a narrative, or describing character flaws, etc.

If you have an idea for something you’d like to read my thoughts about, or if you would like to add me as a guest writer on your own site, drop me an email and let me know.

A new article will be posted at least once per week on Wednesday evening.

Lace up your shoes, your journey has begun. Thank you for accompanying me.
