Make a Choice – Pt 1                         Make a Choice – Pt 2

If you haven’t yet chosen to accept the Christ as your Lord and Savior, if you haven’t yet chosen to be on God’s side – here’s your challenge.

Think about your life and then think about your death. Having read the above scriptures you now understand the importance of your choice. You understand that if you chose Christ, you’ve chosen eternal life. You understand that if you haven’t chose Christ, you’ve chosen eternal damnation. It’s so easy to accept Christ. If you believe the Bible is the Word of God and Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the second person in the Trinity; if you believe God will hear you when you pray to accept His Son – the Lord will save you. It’s not God’s will that any person should perish and experience the second death of eternal damnation.

God the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ here to earth in a body of flesh. He did that so we may know Him and understand His will for our lives. Don’t turn away from that truth. Yes, Christ died and was crucified. His death was payment for our sins so that we could be saved and not have to live without Him and without eternal life. Christ also rose from the dead, so that He could go and prepare a place for us when our bodies die. He sent the Holy Spirit to live in those of us who receive Him as our Lord and Savior so we would never be alone, always have His Word in our hearts, and have the assurance of knowing that we’ll always be His. All of this we can be assured of because God’s Word, the Bible, tells us (Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16-21; Acts 16:31; John 10:27-30; 1 John 1:1-4, 2:21-25; 5:4-13, 5:20; John 1:1, 14; 2 Peter 3:9).

So, what’s your choice? To accept Christ all you have to do is believe you’re a sinner and Christ died for your sins. Ask Christ to come into your heart and forgive you. Confess your belief to God and to another person. If you’re sincere in your profession of faith, the Holy Spirit will come to live within your heart to help you live the life Christ wants you to live.

Remember God knows our heart’s intentions. There’s nothing we can hide from Him. Make your choice today and then live with that choice to the best of your ability.
